Select Experience

The Sports and Event Liability Team at Ricci Tyrrell has guided clients through their litigation and risk management planning for over 25 years. The Team is headed by Members John E. Tyrrell and Patrick J. McStravick. We represent professional and college sports teams; stadium, arena and facility owners and operators; and promoters and carriers addressing the unique risks attendant to spectator events and participation sports. We have considerable expertise in creating, navigating and enforcing indemnity and additional insured obligations. Much of our representation is designed to prevent litigation altogether, through risk-management consultation, training of event staff and authoring patron signage, communications, and prospective waivers.
